Find Where You Will Be Celebrated

Find Where You Will Be Celebrated

If people refuse to accept all of you, don’t give them a part of you in exchange. That’s compromise.

Instead, take all of your love and all of your experience and all of your beauty, along with the fullness of your unique voice, and find the “warmth of other suns” to quote Richard Wright.

The world is big and wide open. There’s lots of celebration to be had. Find where you will be celebrated. Life is too short to settle for anything less.

  3. Preslaysa, I really loved this post. I think many times when we do not belong we attempt to make it fit, but as you stated perhaps it’s an invitation to “find where you belong” rather than set up one’s tent in a place they are not being celebrated in. Thank you for this beautiful reminder…
