God Is Still in Control

God Is Still in Control

I hear mumbling, questioning, and uncertainty when individuals discuss the new administration taking residence at the White House and the violence happening around us; wherever you live. It is not segregated to the inner city, as many proclaim – violence, murder, assaults, thefts, and much more is occurring in the suburbs, churches, businesses, and banks.

I occasionally receive texts or FaceBook messages warning of the new trick perpetrators has initiated – leaving something that sounds like a crying baby on your front porch to get you to open the door; lightly tapping your rear bumper while driving to get you to stop so they can steal your auto; and the most recent one, giving a female a business card stating they do home repairs but the card is laced with a drug that makes the driver drowsy, causing her to pull over. The assailant, with another male, follows and waits for the female to pull to the curb, then steals her car and purse. And all of these attacks are against the feminine gender.

I know, all of these scenarios sound awful and unbelievable but Satan is busy trying to do as much evil as he can while he still has power and control of the earth. As Christians, we can be confident that no harm will come to us because “Those who are with us are more that those who are against us.”

Saints, we have legions of Angels surrounding us so don’t get perturbed about the wickedness occurring around the country, the world, and in your neighborhood. God is still in control!

16 “Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

17 And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:16-17 (NIV)
