Seeking God’s Direction

Seeking God’s Direction

It’s been three weeks since I released a novella. Things have been a little busy as I work on blog interviews, promotions, etc. It’s been a lot of fun but also a bit overwhelming too.

The question I’m often asked is what am I working on next, and do I have the next novella written yet? Now it would make sense that I’d work on the next book in this series since it’s due to come out in November, but for now I’m seeking God and His direction of what He wants me to work on next. So far He hasn’t made it clear yet, but I’m trusting that He will. 🙂

For me, prayer is an active part of the writing process. Before I write a story, while I’m writing, and even in the editing process I’m praying for God’s wisdom and direction. I pray for the hearts of those who will be reading my books. In fact I have ‘The Writer’s Prayer’ by Debby Giusti posted on my desk as a reminder to be praying.

I also like this prompt from Matthew 6:33-34(NIV) – “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

When you are faced with decisions, needing direction, or unsure of the future, where do you turn? Why not turn to the One who knows you best and loves you the most? How can I be praying for you today?
