Waiting Patiently On God

Waiting Patiently On God

Are you thirty, forty, fifty, sixty-something, thinking about settling down with that special person, but he seems to have not been created; and you’re thinking, “God forgot to create my soulmate?” I’m telling you upfront that God has not forgotten about you or me. God loves us, wants us to be happy, and desires the best for us, as any loving earthly father desires for his child. But, sometimes we have to wait for “God’s Best.” This is not passive waiting, sitting on the porch waiting for our soulmate to walk past, look in our direction, our eyes meet, we know he is our soulmate, and we get married. This waiting on “God’s Best” is an active waiting – serving God faithfully, supporting our pastors, leaders, and local church, helping others in need, obeying God’s word, and believing what God promised will come to fruition.

“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.” Psalm 130:5 (NIV)

Next month I’ll give some tips on what to look for while waiting patiently on God to send that godly mate.
